GCSE results have been published today, and our year 11 students can be rightly proud of the outcomes they have acheived. Studying for 10 different qualifications simultaneously is a genuinely challenging experience, and one which this cohort has risen to admirably. The headline statistics for the group are superb, with 76.7% of qualifications graded 7-9, and over 90% of candidates achieving 5 or more grades at that level.

Headteacher, David Atkinson, said "We are very proud of this group of students and the way they have handled the last few years of their education. In addition to the normal challenges of completing GCSE courses they have managed the circumstances created by the pandemic with aplomb. GCSEs are a stepping stone along the education path, and the quality of these results across the year group show that they are ready to go on and make the most of the next set of opportunities they have. I would like to thank them for their good humour and contribution to school life, as well as their aspiration and commitment to their academic studies. Thanks, too, to our teaching staff who have worked closely with each student to help them towards this success."
