On Wednesday 13th of October, an external theatre group entered the hall, setting up a minimal set. This was just one of the things fantastic about the play.

They performed in the last period of the day to a Year 8 audience that was both excited and exhausted from the long school term. The originally serious and - don’t tell the English teachers - not particularly interesting story was flipped into an engaging, joke-filled and thrilling masterpiece.

What I enjoyed most about the play was how it was tweaked with more modern-day references to help create a connection with the audience - talking about how little stock was left in Lidl at Christmas time was a great way of going about this.
