On Friday 1st of December, a group of sixty or so Year 10 pupils got the opportunity to attend Science Live at the Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Rd, to listen to lectures by scientists at the top of their game. We were treated to the likes of Lord Dr. Robert Winston, who shared his thoughts on fertility and reproduction, Professor Steve Jones who discussed the links between DNA and obesity and Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock who gave answers to some of the most challenging space exploration questions humanity has ever faced - is there life on other planets? How did the human race begin? Is the Big Bang Theory just a theory? And that's just to name a few! Ultimately, it was a brilliant day out, despite my brain feeling rather sore afterwards. I would like to thank all the staff involved in the trip’s organisation as it was an incredibly worthwhile experience.
