Accomplished students at Ivinghoe Beacon

During the summer half term holiday, a number of students took on the challenge of cycling and walking the Ridgeway path. Fundraising in aid of the Sickle Cell Society, they have so far raised over £5600. This money will go towards funding a summer retreat for children living with the illness.

The Ridgeway, known as Britain's oldest road, stretches from Avebury in Wiltshire to Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire. The students − mostly in Year 7, with some as young as Year 5! − completed the route between them over the course of six days. It was a tremendous achievement.
