Rock Club's Christmas Rush Hour Rock concert (Monday 4 December) was a great start to the Christmas season, with performances from nine bands, including many festive favourites. Songs included: Wham's Last Christmas performed by Hazard, Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody performed by Vortex, Wizzard's I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday performed by House on Fire, and the classic, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas performed by CRAW.

The concert also saw the debut of Year 7s Rock Club Fringe musicians. They gave a fantastic performance of the Shakin' Stevens' hit, Merry Christmas Everyone, and also performed a high energy rock version of Jingle Bells. The finale saw vocalists from all of the bands sing Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas, with Rock Club Fringe students providing the musical accompaniment, which was a wonderful end to the concert.

Not only was it a fun evening and a great opportunity for the bands to gain performance experience, but it also raised an incredible £600 which will be used to purchase guitar amps for Rock Club. A huge thank you to all the students who took part and to the parents for supporting this event!
