Admissions
Dr Challoner’s Grammar School is a selective academy for boys aged between 11-16 and co-educational between 16-18. The admission number for entry into Year 7 is 180. There is also a planned point of admission at Year 12 for approximately 45 students. Admission offers into Years 8, 9 and 10 are subject to our Late Transfer Process in the event that a place becomes available.

Admissions Policy 2027 - For Consultation
In accordance with the School Admission Code, Dr Challoner’s Grammar School Admissions Policy for 2027 is now available for public consultation. The policy can be viewed here. The consultation period is for a period of six weeks from 21 November 2025. The Governing body welcomes any comments on the updated policy. Please email your comments to admissions@challoners.org. Any comments must be returned by 2 January 2026.
