Chartered College of Teaching Research Mark Plus Award

We're delighted to announce that Dr Challoner’s Grammar School has been awarded the Chartered College of Teaching Research Mark Plus award for our commitment to evidence based educational practice.

This prestigious award is the highest tier available for recognising a school’s commitment to embedding educational research into our everyday practice. The report noted that DCGS had created a culture of “purposeful and meaningful research engagement” amongst teaching staff, which contributed to “reflective practice” in the classroom. Moreover, it commended our “collaboration and collegiality” in ensuring that the impacts of research are felt all across the school. We are very proud of the work done in this area, particularly by our Research Lead Mr Robertson, and look forward to continuing to embed educational research into our school in a way that benefits students, ensuring that they get the very best educational experience.
