The Dr Challoner’s Grammar School Sixth Form is a place of academic and personal aspiration, where students and staff work together to achieve exciting and inspiring outcomes. Its co-educational atmosphere fosters teamwork and creativity, enhanced by terrific student leadership opportunities. Our aim is to enhance students’ education up to the age of 16 with an experience that adds wisdom and the chance to develop a personal sense of purpose, integrity and service that can sustain students into adulthood.
Dr Challoner’s Grammar School is a co-educational Sixth Form offering places in accordance with our Admissions Policy. Successful candidates must meet a minimum level of overall success at GCSE. Advice for external applicants
Being a popular and successful school, DCGS receives a large number of applications to join the Sixth Form each year, and we welcome these applications. If you are interested, you may wish to read the Sixth Form section of our Admissions Policy (2025) / Admissions Policy (2026) and to understand our entry requirements and how we make offers for places in the Sixth Form. All applications will be considered in due course. Please do not follow up your application by contacting the school unless you have a specific and urgent question. All offers given at that time are conditional, meaning they are reliant upon candidates achieving particular results in their GCSEs. Further details about these conditions would accompany any offer that is made.

- Tuesday 11 November 2025 - Registration Opens and information will be updated here
- Monday 1 December 2025 at 16:00 - Closing date for submitting the online registration form
- Notification of offers will be sent by email in April 2026
- Induction Morning - June/July 2026 (date to be confirmed)
- Thursday 3 September 2026 - Team Building Day
- Friday 4 September 2026 - Term / lessons start
