• When solving linear equations involving fractions, find a common denominator to make the fractions equivalent.
  • Once you have equivalent fractions, you can combine them and then eliminate the denominator, to leave a linear equation without fractions.
  • Once you have eliminated the fraction denominators, you can solve the linear equation as normal.
