Eleven incredible bands provided a superb evening of rock and pop music on Monday, 10th July. The concert was put on by DCGS Rock Club and involved over 50 talented students from Year 7 to Year 11. There was a wide range of genres of music on offer with covers of songs from Stevie Wonder, Nirvana, Imagine Dragons, Queen, Judas Priest and the Arctic Monkeys to name a few, plus some original material too. In addition, a collaboration with the DCGS Show Choir delivered some classic hits including Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall and Greatest Day by Take That.

With a licensed bar, dynamic lighting and even a haze machine, the stage was set for the students to put on an extremely professional and memorable performance, which they certainly did, to the delight of the 200 strong audience. The evening culminated in a rousing rendition of The Killers' hit, Mr Brightside, performed by Mercury who were joined on stage by all the performers. It was definitely a night to remember!
