Once again there was a terrific turn out across all years for the House Cross Country, with a huge number of students - and staff - turning out to represent their Houses.
In Year 7 Pearson stormed into a strong 1st place with Newman and Thorne coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In Year 8 Holman took the honours with Newman once again in 2nd and Pearson coming close in 3rd. In Year 9, 10 and 11 the results were quite similar with Thorne and Newman coming in 1st and 2nd.
In the final standings, a consistent set of 2nd place results has given Newman the points for 1st place overall. Even though the House Competition is in its early days Newman are in a strong position with Thorne and Pearson hot on their tail. Equally impressive has been the camaraderie displayed by all the competitors, with the strongest runners cheering on their slower team mates and rivals as they crossed the finish line.
