This Friday was our first Charity Day of the year, raising money in aid of the Iain Rennie Hospice and the Pepper Foundation. These charities provide practical and emotional support to terminally ill patients, and to their families and communities as well. The Pepper Foundation provides hospice care for terminally ill children. Challoner’s was able to raise around £2200 from the non-uniform day to help support their cause.
Only a small few chose to wear wacky costumes, however many students were seen wearing hats as part of their attire. The standout student was Josh Yarrow in 8 Foxell who wore a vibrantly coloured sombrero the entire day; a sight that brought a smile to all who saw it.
