Our Junior and Intermediate runners took part in the ESAA Cross Country Cup 1st Round, held last Friday at Thornton College in Milton Keynes. It was a competitive event from the outset with 35-40 boys in every race, however our team proved to be a class act and produced some excellent results. The Junior Boys came 1st comfortably, with 5 runners in the top 7. Cameron Reid won the race with Ethan Kidd and Michael Hazell finishing in 3rd & 4th. Tom Hall and Rupert Empson came 6th & 7th respectively with Redford Denson finishing 19th.

The Intermediate team also comprehensively beat all opposition, with all our 6 runners finishing highly. Will Perkin won the race, Sam Henning finished 3rd with Rob Hall & Richard Slade coming 4th & 5th. Seb Mills and Theo Kontos both secured places in the top ten. Overall, it was a strong performance from all the runners and we now look forward to the Regionals on Saturday November 9th, which is taking place in Bedford. Well done and good luck to all the boys involved.
