Senior Prizegiving is always one of the highlights of the calendar and this year was no exception.

After a review of the year’s activities from the Headmaster, GCSE certificates were presented to all the students from last year’s Year 11 cohort. This is a wonderful opportunity to publicly acknowledge the effort of the students and they fully deserved their moment in the spotlight.

The certificates, and prizes for achievement, were presented by Lord Hennessy of Nympsfield who is the country’s leading contemporary historian. After presenting the certificates, he spoke fluently and passionately about the joy of learning and the value of an enquiring mind.

Lord Hennessy concluded his address by quoting Einstein: “never lose a holy curiosity”, and encouraged the students to remain enthused about learning regardless of the career they follow and the circumstances they find themselves in.
