We are delighted to have had the strength and quality of our artistic provision officially recognised by Arts Council England. Alan Davey, Chief Executive said “The Arts Council has a long history of involvement in arts education and it's great to see schemes like Artsmark becoming an integral part of more and more school curricular. The Artsmark programme will play a significant role in achieving our ambition of every young person in the country experiencing what the arts have to offer”
We were pleased to have been successful in the recent round of Artsmark applications and have been awarded a prestigious Artsmark which reflects our determination to provide high-quality arts provision. Dr Challoner's was one of only two secondary schools in Buckinghamshire to receive this award in the current round. The award recognises the quality and quantity of artistic provision at the school and in particular highlighted the wide range of extra-curricular activities the school undertakes across all art forms.
Dr Fenton commented that praise must go to all the staff and students who support the arts within the school. The Arts plays a central role within the life of the school with large numbers of students and staff benefiting from the rich programme of artistic activities.
