The Athletics season is already in full flow following a number of recent fixtures.
The junior team went to Handy Cross in High Wycombe to take part in performance trials against a number of local schools. This was a chance for some of the students to get their first experience of competing in full track and field events. The junior, inter and senior teams then travelled to Stowe the next day to take part in an inter-school meet. The junior team performed well with Matt Sperling recording a new PB of 12.5 to win his 100m which helped the team into 4th place overall. In the inter team there were impressive performances by Adam Tilner-Smith, Ashley Turney and James Hamilton and their team finished 3rd overall. The senior boys had excellent performances that gave them a well earned 2nd place finish. Luke Green and Jamie Bristow won their events and there were a host of 2nd place finishes.
It was a great start to the season and this week the junior and inter teams compete in the first round of the ESAA Cup so we wish them another successful meet.
