BMT Concert

On the 14th of March, several Challoner’s students participated in a music concert at the Royal Albert Hall with the Buckinghamshire Music Trust. A wide variety of instruments were played at the event, ranging from guitars and flutes to cellos and trumpets. Many groups performed, such as orchestras, concert bands, percussion groups, and even a saxophone choir.

The concert started off with an enchanting percussion piece, and after nearly three hours of constant music, the show ended with a song sung by each and every one of the performers.

Although the audience had the luxury of enjoying the performances, a lot of work had been done off stage; every band had practised their respective pieces for months before it was all put together into the wonderful show.

Many Challoner’s students contributed to the high-class performances, with a number of standout performances, including a solo from Tommy Phillips.

Ultimately, the concert itself was a huge success with a jam-packed crowd in attendance; it definitely made up for all the hours spent trying to perfect each section!

If you are an aspiring musician, I would highly recommend joining BMT, whether that is at Amersham, High Wycombe or Aylesbury; there is something for everyone here, be it music or fun and laughter.
