Throughout the year, students in Years 8 and 9 have been privileged enough to have drama coaching sessions from an external group, Through the Wardrobe. Around 20 boys overall participated in this after school activity, in which we worked with a teacher towards a Grade 2 LAMDA exam. LAMDA exams are the equivalent of music exams, but for drama.

We worked on many things, such as voice projection, emotions and energy. A majority of the sessions consisted of fun games and activities, before we moved on to study scripts and build up towards the exam. The exam results were outstanding – everyone got either a merit (65%) or a distinction (80%).

This was a brilliant experience which improved our skills and the result will undoubtedly help us in the future, in things such as UCAS statements. If your son would like to participate in activities in or out of school with Through the Wardrobe, please visit their website.
