On the final Enrichment Day of the year, students from the Years 7 to 10 were given a choice from a huge list of 23 exciting and diverse activities. Visits ranged from Junior Masterchef to a Rugby Tour of Twickenham. There was an activity for every kind of interest, be it music, sports, art or science. The weather was beautiful yet very hot, creating a tough environment for those who received training from professional coaches at St George’s Park. The students who visited the Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead at the very least had slightly cooler conditions, and received advice from snowboard and skiing instructors while having the ski slope almost entirely to themselves.

If one of the snowboarders did experience an injury, the Medic/Sports Science course at school may have been able to treat it by the end of the day, practicing such things as syringe use and resuscitation. Whilst all this happened, budding photographers snapped shots across the school and Hervines, in between crash courses on lenses, composure and aperture delivered by Mr Anning.

All in all the day was a great success, with students learning something new for the future, or reinforcing their knowledge. It was nice end to a nice week, and a great opportunity to get out and learn something active in the sunshine.
