As usual there was a buzz around the school with students and staff enjoying a variety of different experiences on the last Enrichment Day of the year.

One group got the opportunity to work with a professional photographer. They were given a demonstration on how to use manual settings on their cameras and then spent time in the Image Capture Studio learning slow motion photography. They all enjoyed dropping items into a bucket of water at high speed and capturing the splash. They were encouraged to experiment with this new knowledge by walking around the school site taking shots of various buildings and other enrichment events with a view to using them on future school publications.

In the cookery rooms it was Masterchef@Challoners. There were 21 students per session and they had to prepare and serve a two course meal in a set time period. The judges in the first session were wowed by a fabulous chicken and ham pie which just pipped a mouth-watering rack of lamb. The contestants in the second session had much less time but guest judge Laurie Gear from The Artichoke Restaurant was impressed by the students' efforts –Jamie Oliver watch this space.
