The House Competition season opened for the new calendar year with House Hockey, seeing students in Years 7 to 9 clashing sticks on the astroturf in after school matches.

The games were closely contested by students in all the houses - with plenty of grazed knees and bruises to show for it! - but despite the injuries the teams played honourably, engaging in several evenings of highly enjoyable sport. Across the years it was Foxell and Thorne who proved ultimately dominant, with first place in Years 7 and 9 going to Foxell, and Thorne taking the lead in Year 8. Pearson, meanwhile, kept their points up with a resolute third place in each round.

Many thanks to the teachers and staff and well done to the boys for bracing the January cold for this event.
