After weeks of preparation, an eager group of Business Studies students got the chance to participate in mock interviews. Competing against each other, the Year 10 students battled for a job at Tesco, Amersham. The day was eventful, starting off with group interviews. Each group consisted of 5 students who were asked questions about themselves and then put into a group scenario in which the objective was to choose seven items from a list after a plane crash in South America. The students communicated well here; however, only four places were available for individual interviews.
After anxiously waiting at lunchtime in A9, the Tesco representatives announced the four winners. Chris Mann, Chris Allan, Giles Basnayke and Paxton William were the selected four after the group interviews. At lunchtime, each of these four selected students had a 10 minute interview, in which more specific questions were asked regarding personal life.
Paxton William was the overall winner of the day, with an energetic and enthusiastic approach towards both interviews. The day was a very good experience and the students found it very beneficial. Overall, it was an excellent day that I'm sure anyone of us would like to have again!
