The Junior and Intermediate Swimming teams travelled to Stockport at the weekend to take part in the National Schools Swimming finals. This competition is contested between the sixteen strongest schools in the country in each age group.

The Intermediate team of Max Elphick, Matt Hazelwood, Charlie Messenger and Max Poplawski had a good competition but narrowly failed to qualify for their final. The Junior team (Jordan Huggett, Jake Bulgin, Ben Levart, Jasper Copp) also had a great competition and secured a bronze medal in the Freestyle relay in a dramatic finish which had everyone on tenterhooks! They also finished 6th in the Medley final where Tom Strudwick and Fraser Brydon replaced Jordan and Jake.

It was a great opportunity to compete against the best in the country and all the students performed to a high standard.
