November saw the return of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo to its friends), and for a third year Mr Burn led a dozen budding novelists on a quest to write as many words of a novel as possible. The students set themselves personal word count goals, and proceeded enthusiastically.

The month was fun, challenging (especially with Mr Burn throwing additional writing tasks at the students) and full of imagination: superheroes, parallel universes, aliens and talking palm trees abounded.

Every student participating in NaNoWriMo this year made a real achievement, with several passing the 20,000 word mark, but of particular note are Liam Kerr and Felix Holloway, who each wrote over 100,000 words in the month! Well done to all involved - and watch this space for the next Game of Thrones!
