Making a Donation
There are various ways that you are able to help us by making a donation to Dr Challoner’s School Educational Trust (Registered Charity No. 298550).
A regular gift via a standing order enables us to plan projects with the certainty of funding available in future years. In addition, when a gift is made by a UK taxpayer under the Gift Aid scheme, we are able to increase its value significantly. Higher rate taxpayers are also able to claim back the difference between the basic and higher rates via their tax return. For example, for every £75 donated we can gain an extra £16 in tax you have already paid. Even modest contributions given on a quarterly basis can add up to substantial amounts.
Another option could be to make a single gift to Dr Challoner’s Grammar School. You can be assured that your gift will go towards priority projects within the school where the money is most needed.
Examples of the type of project we would like to fund in the next few years include:
- The replacement of a piano in the music department.
- The purchase of a green screen and cameras for students undertaking extra-curricular activities in media.
- The refurbishment of our Dining Hall
To make a gift please download our giving form here and return it to us.
Each of these forms includes a Gift Aid declaration for you to sign to enable us to claim back tax.
We hope that you will consider helping us in some way, however small or large as your circumstances allow.
If you are considering making a gift and need further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Development Director on 01494 787570.
