Introduction
DCGS is a selective school for boys, established in 1624 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. At the last Ofsted inspection the school was graded as 'Outstanding' in every category. Dr Challoner’s is widely recognised as one of the leading boys’ grammar schools in England and was the top selective school for ‘value added’ at GCSE in 2010. As a National Support School, DCGS is committed to working in partnership with other schools to raise achievement and became an academy in January 2011 as one of the first outstanding schools to convert.
