On a bright sunny Monday morning, 25 Year 13 students lined up at the gates of Buckingham Palace. They were all there to receive their DofE Gold Awards, and each student had brought a guest.

Once inside the gardens, the students and their guests were assembled into a group on the immaculate lawn, and within earshot of the two military bands. The group was addressed by the Countess of Wessex, who congratulated them on their awards and thanked the parents for their support. The students were then presented with their certificates by guest presenter Sophie Raworth, the BBC journalist and newsreader.

Well done to all the Year 13's for achieving their Gold Awards, and good luck to those who are yet to complete or receive their awards. The Gold Award Presentation is an unforgettable event.
